The Cupid Classic Tournament is back—a Valentine’s weekend showdown at PickleballU in Sturbridge, MA. On February 14th and 15th, the courts will be alive with fierce, fast-paced play across Women’s, Men’s, and Mixed doubles divisions. Whether you’re a 2.5 rising star or a 4.0+ contender, this is where you test your game, fight for medals, and play for pure love of the sport.
Spaces are strictly limited—just seven teams per division, with one mixed flight capping at fourteen. You and your partner must move fast; this isn’t just another round robin. It’s a two-day battle for bragging rights, played with the official Franklin X-40 ball. Bring your focus, bring your fire, and leave everything on the court. Registration closes February 10th. I can’t say enough good things about the Tactical Pickleball team of Dan Willett and Chris Dion. Both coaches are highly skilled players themselves who can demonstrate skills effectively, and then give constructive feedback during drills.
I started off in a large group session focused on improving drop shots, transition zone work and dinking skills. I also worked with Dan & Chris in smaller groups with four players, and all players were so impressed with the sessions and the new skills we came away with. I have also enjoyed private lessons with Dan where he zeroed in on areas that will improve my game immediately! He is so positive and fun, and it’s a great workout too! In a short period of time I have noticed massive improvements in my game. These coaches are fun, knowledgeable, skilled, engaged, and love seeing their students succeed.
